Governors

Our governing body consists of representatives from the school teaching and non-teaching staff, local authority, community and parents. They meet at least six times per year and they carry out a number of functions including appointing the head teacher and also supporting them in their leadership role.  Although the Governors do not manage the school, the Governing Body is the key strategic decision making body in the school setting the strategic framework and ensuring it meets all of its statutory duties.  Raising achievement is at the heart of the Governing Body's strategic role.
